You have probably looked at automatic litter boxes and wondered where on earth you would put one. This one fits in 48 × 52 cm of floor space, yet gives your cat 65 litres of room inside.
They go in, do their business, come out. A few minutes later, the sphere turns gently, keeps the litter clean and drops the waste into a closed bin. All you have to do is change a bag from time to time.
Why this one
65 litres for cats up to 8 kg. The sphere leaves your cat room to turn around and dig like in a classic tray. The 24.5 cm entrance is wide, only 15 cm off the floor.
Sensors that watch over them. Four weight sensors in the base and an infrared sensor at the entrance detect your cat. The drum stops when they come close and resumes when they move away. Drum and waste bin are one single unit: no part can pinch them.
A closed 9 L waste bin. With one cat, the manufacturer quotes up to fifteen days without emptying it. The bag changes in seconds.
Quiet at night. About 35 dB in operation according to the manufacturer, and a night mode that pauses cycles while you sleep.
Made for real life
From the app, you start a clean, set the delay after each visit, choose its working hours and follow your cat's weight and visits.
Without a phone, the touch screen on the base does the job: clean now, empty the drum, automatic mode, anti-odour.
For cleaning, the sphere unlocks on the side, lifts off and rinses with water.
Good to know before ordering
- Fine-grain clumping litter. The manufacturer recommends short-fibre tofu litter or mixed litter. Avoid very fine bentonite and grains over 3 mm wide or 15 mm long. Do not exceed 4 kg of litter.
- Hard, flat floor only. All four feet must touch the floor: never on a rug or carpet, which would distort the weighing.
- Leave 30 cm clear all around, including in front of the entrance (no object over 5 cm), for the infrared sensor.
- For cats from 1 to 8 kg, from 6 months old.
- 2.4 GHz WiFi only. The printed manual is in English.
- The base never goes under water. Only the sphere is rinsed.
