Plastic scratches, holds odours and encourages blackheads on cats' chins. Glazed ceramic stays smooth: a rinse in hot water is enough, and it is dishwasher and microwave safe. The wooden base simply wipes clean.
The bowl sits on a solid rubberwood stand, light and dense. It raises the bowl a few centimetres and keeps it from sliding while your pet works through the spiral.
